You are receiving this email because you have registered for the first Upper Bucks EduSummit, which will take place at the Quakertown Freshman Center, located at 349 South 9th Street, Quakertown, on Wednesday, August 22nd. Congratulations on being one of 172 staff members that have elected to take part in this multi-district professional development day! In an effort to communicate the relevant information, please be advised of the following:
1. EduSummit WikiSpace: Information for the day can be found on the 2012 Upper Bucks EduSummit Wikispace, which can be found here: upperbucksedusummit2012.wikispaces.com. Presenters will use the site to share resources, provide links, etc. Please bookmark the site.
2. Schedule: The schedule of all the sessions, including session times and room numbers, can be found on the Wikispace. Registration opens at 7:30 AM, with the first session beginning promptly at 8:15 AM. Other session dates and times can be found on the Wikispace.
3. Twitter: We will be utilizing the hashtag #UBES12 to share information. We encourage facilitators and participants to utilize the hashtag throughout the day to connect with other participants and share relevant information.
4. Wifi Access for the Day: Participants can connect to the QCSD “Guestnet”. The password will be “edusummit”. Participants should bring any computer equipment they are interested in using for the day. (Ex. Laptop, iPad, etc.)
5. Lunch: Lunch will be from 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM. Participants can bring their own lunch or visit a local restaurant in town.
6. Act 48: Act 48 will be available for all sessions that a participant attends. Upon registration, participants will receive paperwork for Act 48 credit. Unique codes will be provided at each session. Act 48 forms will be sent back to a participant’s home district. It’ll be the responsibility of that school district to upload the information to PDE.
7. Personal Schedule: For participants that do not remember what he/she registered for, lists will be available on Wednesday morning, as a refresher for those that need it. This is especially important because a variety of sessions have closed due to the maximum number of participants.
